Chromebook + Android Apps is it really ready

Image
As we all know that google has recently launched the feature to use android apps in Asus Chromebook Flip. Most of the users like me and probably you out there have been waiting for this feature for a long time but is it really ready for the mainstream use. Google has made it possible to use around 1.5 million and plus apps to run on chrome OS and yes you can use many of them if not all but let’s first talk about if it really worth the try. Installing the apps ant using them on chrome OS is simple procedure and most probably the support for the devices will be expanded by the end of this summer. During the test run of the apps on my Chromebook some were pretty flawless while some of them were not able to perform as well. The only bad news till now is that the only device that supports this new feature is Asus Chromebook Flip in the next few weeks the support for the device may most probably include the 2015 Chromebook Pixel and Acer Chromebook R11 not any official announcements but let

There are almost 200 million google photo users out there and the google is continuously working in making their user experience much and much better day by day. The continuous updates being delivered to their users giving them new features to explore. Yet another feature has been rolled out to the Google Photos app the ability to show slideshow. It is now very much possible to show slide show to your friends and relatives without bothering to click every time for the next picture. Just open any album click on any picture and tap on slideshow from the dropdown menu. On Thursday Google photos team said on Google+ it’ll automatically advance through the photos, though the photo stops the show. The service is available on the Android app and the website, but not the iOS app for Google Photos. In order to compete with services such as Flickr and Apple’s Photo app, the Tech Giant has been constantly rolling out new set of features to its Google Photos App. Some of the example

Windows 10's Refresh Tool Get Rid of Bloatware.

Image
A month ago a news was in the air that soon enough Microsoft will be releasing a tool which will help user to clean install their operating system helping the user in getting rid of all the bloatware that come preinstalled in the third party machines. Recently in the new build of Windows 10 insider preview (build 14367 to be specific) this tool was seen integrated in the recovery menu of the OS well not fully integrated as you see in the picture below there is a link in the recovery settings menu which takes you to a Microsoft page from where user can download the tool. unfortunately any try to use the tool in older version of the OS was a complete failure. The tool named as “Refresh Windows” is not exactly what I expected it to be instead of offline refreshing of the windows this tool downloads an image of the Latest Windows and then installs it – which a user can already do with the Microsoft’ Media Creation Tool. Some of you out their might

Hello guys I am back with some great news for the users of beta testing program of google. The tech giant is rolling out a new update for its Play Store with some UI changes featuring new tab in “My Apps & Games” area named as “Beta” as the name suggests this section lists all the beta apps that are currently installed on your device and the apps for which you signed to beta test through Google Play. This is awesome news for the users like me and some of you out there who are enrolled in the beta testing program of google this feature will provide you an ease to manage the programs in which we are enrolled. In this section you can manage the apps you want to be enrolled in for beta testing and there is an option to opt-in/out of the beta testing program as well. Running Android Apps On Google Chromebook

Image
As we all know that google has promised back in 2014 that pretty soon enough the chrome OS will be supporting Android apps. According to google this would be a feature of benefit for developers and more convenient for users. The tech giant was not in any kind of rush to release the function but finally it appears that users will finally be able to access android apps on Chrome OS PCs. But the only drawback is for able to use this feature you should have one very specific model of the Chromebook: The Asus Chromebook Flip. An owner of the reddit account named as NeoOfTheDark claimed that the during the use of a BETA build of the Chrome OS (version 53.0.2768 to be exact) on chrome canary: Google’s developer focused version of the chrome. According to him as soon as he updated to the new version of the chrome the release informed him that the google play will now be available on his Chromebook, after reading his post other redditors also flocked to the update to check if it was rea

New UI Design in Google Now on Tap.

Image
Google now on tap has been a great feature for android users and google is not backing down in making this feature better every day. While the concept behind the now on tap was pretty impressive, google has had a pretty hard time making this concept into an interesting app. In the last few days google has been rolling out all new set of features for the app making it more of a virtual assistant than of a contextual search engine. Yesterday another great set of feature got an improvement the cards for Common Tasks and Nearby Places got new UI design. The functions are generally query shortcut for google app. Suppose like if you want to ask google to show you the nearby gas stations that is what the buttons in the “Places Nearby” card does. If you to tell Google to create a reminder, it will open the Search app's reminder flow. Same for alarms and timers. Once the action flow is successfully completed the google app will take you to the related app for completion of t
